LeBron James and Steph Curry turned the Game 4 contest into a one-on-one show for a brief stretch. The two leaders of their respective teams had to dig into their bags, with the game being a close affair. A lot was at stake for both teams.

The Lakers wanted to continue limiting the Warriors from having homecourt advantage this series and maintain a 3-1 lead. Meanwhile, for the Dubs, a 1-3 deficit would potentially end their season.

LeBron James and Co. beat the Golden State Warriors 104-101 in Game 4 of their conference semis to take a commanding 3-1 lead. It was a neck-and-neck game, especially in the second half. Both teams put together runs leading to multiple lead changes down the stretch. Neither team led by four or more points in the final frame.

Lonnie Walker rose to the occasion for the Lakers, scoring all his 15 points in the fourth quarter alone. LA wouldn’t have won the game if not for his efforts offensively. Meanwhile, the Lakers’ defense also deserves some credit, as they held the Dubs to only 17 fourth-quarter points.

Anthony Davis came up with a huge defensive possession on Steph Curry in the clutch after he switched onto the Warriors star in a one-on-one situation. Davis contested a midrange jumper with 26.7 seconds left and the Warriors down by one. Draymond Green secured the offensive board on that miss and tipped it to Curry, who attempted a long-range attempt over Davis and missed it.

Anthony Davis also made a steal with nine seconds left, and the Lakers were up three points, which sealed the win for the Purple and Gold. LeBron James led LA in production, tallying 27 points, nine rebounds and six assists, hitting timely shots and clutch free throws. Davis had 23 points, 15 rebounds and three steals, while Austin Reaves finished with 21 points.

For the Warriors, Steph Curry was the lone bright spot as he went off for 31 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists and three steals. Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole misfired big time, with the former tallying nine points on 11 attempts while the latter went scoreless on four shots off the bench.
